Winnipeg Pool Tourney 2005

In July I traveled to Winnipeg to play in the Pool Tournament. The weather was incredible with tornados and heavy rains the whole way. Once I arrived in Winnipeg, it cleared and was very hot.

I had the pleasure of meeting my sweet friend Mike and spent a lovely two days visiting with him. He gave me a roses needlepoint for my birthday.

Steve and I played in the Scotchdoubles Division. We didn't win a thing but a great time was had anyway.

Guys and Dolls Pool Team 2005-2006

The Guys and Dolls Pool Team was a throw together group of strangers and it turned out to be the greatest team. Everyone got along and we had great food, fun and team spirit all year.   In 2006 Karen and I were looking for an A Team to play on.  Dean wanted to play with his dad, Ed, and their friend Bob.  So we were five.

It became obvious not too long into the season that Guys and Dolls needed some stronger players to take us to the top in playoffs.  Karen and I were holding our own but we really didn't want to be in the position of "having to pull it off" at playoffs.  So we picked up Ken and Ron.  So we were seven.

We played 100% at playoffs.  Never lost a game and our trip to Vegas for the International VNEA Tournament was secured.
